Ella is a contemporary dance artist based in London & South East. She trained on the CAT scheme at The Place & graduated with a First Class degree from Trinity Laban in 2016. She currently performs in Bicycle Ballet Co’s Blazing Saddles show, for Springs Dance Company & in her own work through ella&co.
Ella is a community dance artist & teaches in a range of community setings. Accessibility & play are at the heart of her teaching practise. Ella is a lead dance artist for Sadler’s Wells, DanceWest, Springs Dance Company, Danielle Teale’s Dance for Parkinsons & Magpie Dance, who work with adults with learning disabilities. Ella has reccently been a lead artist on a collaboration project between Protein Dance & Magpie Dance.
Ella creates her own choreographic work through her company, ella&co, connecting people through her socially engaged choreographic practise. Her work is currently supported by Arts Council England, South East Dance & The Point. She is also receiving mentoring from Charlotte Spencer & Robert Clark. She has previously received choreographic commissions from Big Ideas, GradLab Project & Newcomen Collet Foundation.
