Virginia Farman is a freelance choreographer with over 20 years experience of creating and directing exciting dance projects for unusual settings; from the wild nightclubs of Milan and Rimini to the more pedestrian setting of the Southbank, London. Her work is characterised by humour, originality and pace, as she brings an anarchic edge to questions of how the human body can interact with public space.
Trained as a Diva with Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie, Farman has since created numerous productions with a variety of collaborators including: Zap Productions, CNDO Holland, SED, Paddock Productions, KP Productions and Brighton Festival. She is a member of the choreographers’ collective Movement 12, and a senior lecturer in dance at the University Chichester.
