Workshops
Bicycle Ballet workshops run alongside performances and enable local people to develop and showcase their bike skills, and to rehearse and perform with the company.
‘the dance of cycling’
Inspired by your bike stories, skills and tricks, and the geometric patterns of Busby Berkeley’s film choreography, we want up to 20 people to work with the company to create a stunning, but simple, routine for a central role in the shows in your town or area.
‘Mass Participatory Performances’
The performance is created in a series of workshops and rehearsals with up to 100 local residents, cyclists and dancers in two groups: The Chorus, for those able to commit more time, and The Mass, for those able to attend just one or two sessions.
See below for details of forthcoming workshops.
No experience necessary
All ages welcome, although a level of cycling proficiency is required – minimum Level 2 Bikeability is suggested.
You will need to: bring your own bike and wear a black top, trousers and shoes for the performances
